Namco Bandai Games began streaming the first special movie for its Nintendo 3DS game Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode on Wednesday. The "digital monster-raising role-playing game" is an expanded version of the PlayStation Portable Digimon World Re:Digitize game that was released last year.
The movie profiles the never-before-seen Digimon such as new ones with the X-Antibody as well as the new character Rina Shinomiya (voiced by Haruka Tomatsu). It also previews the two new storylines: Dōkoku no X-Kōtai (The Lamentable X-Antibody) and Sakubō no M.A.O (The Scheming Demon Lord). The evolved Gallantmon/Dukemon X-Anti-Body and Omnimon/Omegamon X-Antibody forms appear in the Dōkoku no X-Kōtai storyline alongside a mysterious Digimon known as Dorumon.
The 3DS version will take advantage of the system's dual screens and touch panel.
The game is the fourth phase of the Digimon franchise's 15th anniversary project. The other three phases were the original PSP game Digimon World Re:Digitize, the iPhone card RPG Digimon Crusader, and the PSP game Digimon Adventure.
Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode is slated for release on June 27.
