Nodame Cantabile Leads the Pack in Fans' Top Musical Anime

The Nodame Cantabile anime series, based on the manga by Tomoko Ninomiya, ranked #1 in another music-based poll. The series was chosen by 33.6% of Goo Ranking's 500 participants as the best music-themed anime series. The original manga was also chosen by working women last year as the best music-based manga. Kyoto Animation's K-On, wasn't too far behind with 20.2% of the vote. Its manga counterpart tied with Detroit Metal City for fourth place last year.
