Jun Fukuyama's Passionate Dance Instructor Promotes KFC's 'Chizza'

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Jun Fukuyama's (Black Butler, Assassination Classroom) appeared in his first Kentucky Moshimo Gekijō (Kentucky What If Theater) "mini drama" series of live-action shorts on Thursday. Perhaps more eyecatching than Fukuyama's turn as a passionate dance instructor is the particular KFC food item the character promotes in the short.

After briefly interacting with the viewer, the "Jonetsu na Shakō Dance Kōshi" (Passionate Ballroom Dance Instructor) takes out a KFC Chizza. What's a Chizza? It's a Asia exclusive menu item based on Korean bulgogi, but in essence is a "chicken-crust pizza." KFC first introduced it in Japan last year but the item, dubbed by AV Club as "unholy" and CNET's Rahil Bhagat as "a journey into regret," is back.

Jun Fukuyama's future episode titles will see him star as "Iitokodori no Danshi" (Guy Who Focuses on the Bright Side), "Tsutsumikomu Kareshi" (Wrapping-Up Boyfriend), "Joshiryoku Takame no Juku Kōshi" (High-Femininity Cram School Instructor), "Karakuchi na Jōshi" (Salty Boss), and "Tokubetsu-hen" (Special Edition). One new episode will stream every week until July 6.

Like in the first series of Yui Ogura episodes, Fukuyama will appear as a character interacting alone with the viewer. Each of the six episodes will again feature a different KFC menu item.

The shorts will run a prize campaign through the messaging and social media app LINE. After each new episode streams, a keyword will be revealed. People can use the keyword to enter for a chance to win 10 prizes including a signed photograph of Fukuyama.
