Dragon Ball Manga Set Marks 40th Anniversary With Variant Covers by 42 Jump Legends

On Friday, Shueisha announced a new 42-volume box set of the late Akria Toriyama's Dragon Ball manga series in celebration of the manga's 40th anniversary. All the volumes will come with double covers, including variants “featuring gorgeous illustrations from 42 talented artists!” The artists are (by volume number):

The art first appeared in Saikyo Jump magazine's regular "Dragon Ball Super Gallery" feature from 2021 to this year.

The set is currently available for pre-orders which close on August 3. It is slated for February 4, 2026 at a cost of 31,800 yen (about US$253). It comes in four boxes with eight original dividers and a double-sided 42-postcard set with both the original and variant cover art. As of press time, no announcement has been made if the set will be available outside of Japan.
