Aksys Games to Release Novect's Project Code M, 6 Other Games

Aksys Games announced during its Anime Expo panel on Thursday that it will release the following games:
Project Code M
Aksys will reveal more information on Novect's Project Code M, including platforms and release dates, at a later date. Aksys describes the game:
We are excited to announce Project Code M, a mystery game currently in development where you seek the truth behind a series of murders from the perspectives of both the killer and the investigator. The story takes place in present day Tokyo, focusing on the Shitamachi area such as Asakusa and Yoshiwara, and involves Japan's criminal underworld. As the murderer, set your trap, corner the target and commit your crime. The style of murder will unfold differently depending on the situation. As the investigator, uncover the truth by searching for clues and questioning witnesses. More details coming soon!
Novect (formerly Novectacle) is perhaps best known as the developer of The House in Fata Morgana. Keika Hanada, the writer of The House in Fata Morgana, is also writing Project Code M.
Path of Mystery: A Brush with Death
Aksys Games will release Toybox and Imagineer's Path of Mystery: A Brush with Death (Mystery no Arukikata) on the Switch in spring 2026. Aksys describes the game:
Decades ago, a famous landscape artist was brutally murdered while painting late at night. At that time irregularities were found in the case and the primary suspect died in an apparent suicide. The case was closed and, over time, nearly forgotten. Thirty years later your university club, the Mystery Research Club, pries open old wounds, revisiting this unsolved case as a research assignment. Unexpected new clues are revealed as you use your secret ability to peer into the past, viewing key items and events in a new light. Use your uniquely gained knowledge to steer conversations and interviews with witnesses and potential suspects. Maintain your own secrets while uncovering a series of long-buried mysteries leading to the true killer.
The game released in Japan in December 2024.
Q Collection
Aksys Games will release liica's Q Collection on Switch in 2026. Aksys describes the game:
The Q puzzle series now makes its way to the Nintendo Switch as a collection of three games! With over 1,800 problems to solve, you're bound to be entertained, whether you'd like to take on the challenges yourself or as a group. Q REMASTERED is a simple puzzle game in which players can freely draw lines and shapes on the screen. The drawn object will drop due to gravity. Q with VTUBERS features challenging and quirky puzzles designed by over 20 VTubers. The sequel Q2 HUMANITY introduces characters or 'humans' that can jump, bounce, throw things, and sometimes even exhibit special abilities. Q2 can be played solo or with up to 4 players.
The game contains Q Remastered, Q2 Humanity, and Q with VTubers. Q Remastered is the remastered version of the original 2015 game Q. The remaster released for Switch in 2022. Q2 Humanity, the sequel, released in August 2024. Q with VTubers released on May 8.
Tristia: Chronicles
Aksys will release Kogado Studio and Kumasan Team's Tristia: Chronicles game on Switch in spring 2026. Aksys describes the game:
Tristia: Legacy and Tristia: Restore are together in one updated collection! The beautiful city of Tristia, nicknamed the "Jewel of the Sea," has bustled with maritime trade until recent dragon attacks stripped the city of its charm, and the people are resigned to its state of decay. In this town building simulation game, you play as crafter-inventor Nanoca who has been challenged to restore the city within a year. Will Tristia regain its former vibrancy or will it remain in disrepair? Everything depends on your hard work.Tristia: Restore takes place alongside Tristia: Legacy, but focuses on the day-to-day running of Nanoca's shop. She has some major crafting projects to complete, but while she works to finish them, a constant barrage of requests pour in. In this action game, quickness counts as you gather your materials, choose the right equipment, and deliver completed items to the townsfolk. Can you accomplish everything before time runs out?
The game contains the games Tristia: Legacy and Tristia: Restore. Both games shipped in January 2023. Tristia: Legacy is a remastered version of the Aoi Umi no Tristia (Tristia of the Deep Blue Sea) 2002 game, while Tristia: Restore uses the original game's mechanics to turn it into a comedy shop management game. The games inspired a 2004 two-episode OVA by ufotable.
C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield
Aksys will release ACQUIRE's C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield on PlayStation 5 and Switch as a physical-only release in fall 2025. Aksys describes the game:
An expanded version of the game that combines roguelike-style deckbuilding with SRPGs. Enjoy unique tactical gameplay that features over 100 varieties of cards with unique designs allowing players to build powerful decks and strategically confront enemies on an SRPG field. Every encounter requires a different strategy! Adapt to new battlegrounds and plan accordingly. Build the strongest deck and put a stop to the Hellmuth Brigade's actions. The new "Mini-Game" mode lets players select a single unit and navigate a grid-based map, engaging in battles, upgrading, and making critical decisions. Your route and deck-building choices within limited turns will determine your success against the boss!
Acquire released the game digitally on PS5 and on PC via Steam in May 2024.
The Good Old Days
Aksys will release Yokogo Systems and Gravity's The Good Old Days on Switch in fall 2025. Aksys describes the game:
A nostalgic metroidvania-style game from the good old days back in 19XX. Take on the role of Sean, a young boy who ventures into the fictional city of Arostia to repay his father's debt. Explore the underground of Arostia, rescue your friends from imprisonment, and figure out how to pay your debt on time! The Good Old Days pays homage to the general nostalgia of teenage youth, the times that were, and what could have been. Throughout your adventure across the play space, you may encounter easter eggs and retro pop culture references scattered throughout the game world. Reminisce about the dreams of adventure from those days gone by throughout your playthrough with this gripping, multi-faceted story!
Otome Daoshi -Fighting for Love-
Aksys will release Otomate and Idea Factory's Otome Daoshi -Fighting for Love- (Moeyo! Otome Dōshi ~Kayū Koigatari~ on Switch in spring 2026. Aksys describes the game:
Shunlin lives in the thriving martial arts kingdom of Kayu where she's a Daoist priestess in training. This year the Tournament of Valor will decide the strongest fighter in the country. However, on the day of the tournament, an assailant appears at the arena and attacks the spectators. Experience the conflict and betrayal amongst allies and confront the challenges ahead. As they protect those important to them and their pride, our protagonist fights for her beloved country and for the warrior that she loves! In the end, what will be their fate, and what will the future hold?
Otomate released the game for the Switch in Japan in September 2024.
Aksys also revealed the below trailer for its previously announced release of Otomate's Mistonia's Hope -The Lost Delight- (Mistonia no Kibou -The Lost Delight-). The trailer reveals the game's November 13 release date for the Switch.
