Japanese indie developer announces free Steam release of “Wish Upon A Cat” to commemorate its 6th anniversary.
TOKYO, JAPAN: July 23rd, 2025 - To celebrate Odencat's sixth anniversary, the company announced its short and sweet anniversary adventure title Wish Upon A Cat will be coming to Steam on August 6th as a free download title. The game puts players in the role of cheering up the eponymous mascot as they travel through multiple worlds from across the studio's history.

About Wish Upon a Cat
In this short adventure, the protagonist finds themselves sucked into the Odencat multiverse and forced to track down the studio's beloved mascot, whose inexplicable temper tantrum is threatening to cause a second Big Bang! The story unfolds from a mysterious apartment building where dimensional gateways to popular Odencat titles like Bear's Restaurant, Snowman Story, Fishing Paradiso, and Meg's Monster have opened up. Players will have to track down the Oden-loving cat through these intertwined realities in order to prevent a total interdimensional collapse.
Meet Familiar Characters from the Odencat Multiverse
Players will gather clues and speak to a variety of unique characters to track down the eponymous cat's hiding place. Featuring colorful locations, dynamic music, and charming dialogue written exclusively for this game, fans of Odencat's previous games will love the chance to reunite with so many familiar faces.
A Heartfelt Story That's Short and Sweet
