Otakon to Host Madhouse Studio Co-Founder Maruyama

Producer of most of studio's output, including this year's Otakon opening anime
Otakon has announced that Madhouse studio co-founder Masao Maruyama will return to the August 8-10 convention at Baltimore, Maryland. Maruyama has produced almost every work that his studio has animated, including Trigun, Perfect Blue, Black Lagoon, NANA, Beck, Monster, and Death Note. He is also credited with the concept of Devil Hunter Yohko. This will be his sixth appearance at the convention, which will be marking its 15th anniversary. Madhouse happens to be animating the opening animation for this year's Otakon.
