"Lupin Ikka Seizoroi" reunites pre-2011 cast one last time; Lupin VIII, Lupin 3DCG pilot also included

Lupin III Master File, the Blu-ray Disc/DVD release commemorating the 40th anniversary of the anime inspired by manga creator Monkey Punch's master thief character, will bundle a new anime short when it ship on March 28. The "Lupin Ikka Seizoroi" (Lupin Family Lineup) short will reunite veteran voice cast members Kanichi Kurita (Lupin III), Kiyoshi Kobayashi (Daisuke Jigen), Makio Inoue (Goemon Ishikawa), Eiko Masuyama (Fujiko Mine), and Gorō Naya (Inspector Zenigata) for their final session together.

Lupin III Master File will also have interviews with the five cast members and major figures connected with the franchise. Inoue, Masuyama, and Naya were replaced by new voices — the first change in the main cast in 16 years — for last year's Lupin III: Chi no Kokuin Eien no Mermaid (Blood Seal ~Eternal Mermaid~) television special.

In addition, the limited first pressing of Lupin III Master File will bundle the "long-lost" Lupin VIII pilot. This joint Japanese/French animated production came from director Rintaro, the late animation director Shingo Araki, and future Power Rangers producer Haim Saban in the early 1980s. This project never aired in Japan or France.

Lupin III Master File also includes the first packaged release of the "Lupin 3DCG" pilot, as well as various commercials featuring the characters.
