Manga Entertainment Updates on Podcast

Manga Entertainment has released the fifth in its series of podcasts (110 minutes), featuring Jerome Mazandarani with Jonathan Clements, Andrew Hewson and host Jeremy Graves.
Among the announcements, the home release of Makoto Shinkai's film Journey to Agartha (aka Children who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below) has moved back to February 2013, "because we couldn't get the dub in time."
On the Blu-ray box-set release of Puella Magi Madoka Magica on October 29, Mazandarani said: "I'm concerned that the Complete Season Blu-ray box-set may be shortlived; that we may have to delete it and re-release it at a higher price or that we might have to release some single-disc Blu-rays... That isn't 100% confirmed at this stage... We don't want to upset the licensors, because it's a premium price Blu-ray in Japan." (In Japan, the individual Blu-ray discs of Madoka Magica sell for the equivalent of £59 each.)
On Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Mazandarani said, "If we do get a better manufacturing deal on Blu-ray discs in the future and a lower minimum order quantity, I will definitely come back and have a look at Brotherhood on Blu-ray and just see if we can get the rest of the series out..."
During the programme, Mazandarani made some comments regarding the recently announced acquisitions at Manchester MCM Expo.
- Guilty Crown will start being released in 2013. While Mazandarani could not confirm anything at the time of recording, Manga is 'planning' to bring out the series on both Blu-ray and DVD, and that it 'may well' be a combo release, a 'two-disc DVD, two-disc Blu-ray pack with some special packaging.'
- On the Christmas Eve DVD release of the Gintama feature film; "It's a good jumping-on point for people who have heard of Gintama but haven't seen any of it. That's why we chose to bring the film out and we haven't done the series yet. Let's see if there's an appetite for Gintama."
