The seven Pokemon Centers throughout Japan began handing out reservation tickets on Saturday. However, the Nagoya, Tokyo and Osaka centers ran out the same day.

The Pikachu Yellow 3DS LL (known as 3DS XL outside Japan) is handheld's first color variant. The system is selling for 18,900 yen (about USD$238). Individuals with reservation tickets can pick up the device on September 15. The Pokemon Center Staff blog also confirmed that this limited edition is not currently planned for general sale.
