News re Gargantia, the Blue Exorcist film and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.

The latest Manga Entertainment podcast (62 minutes) has the following information:

Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (pictured) is presently due in September. The plan is to release a complete series DVD and Blu-ray edition.

The Manga titles in the second quarter, previously reported as listed online, are now all confirmed. There is one additional title: Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere Seasons 1 and 2, coming to DVD and Blu-ray on June 9.

The UK release of the original Dragon Ball series will be a hybrid between the America and Australia release. The release will follow the 'Saga' format used in Australia, though the sets will be designated as 'seasons.' Of the five sets, each will contain four discs, except for 'series four,' which will have six discs. There are more details on this Manga blog entry, which includes a breakdown of the episodes on each set.

The delay to the release of Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo was primarily because of the US delay. The release is described as being in a 'holding pattern,' with a tentative date of August 25, which could go forward or back. Manga is also trying to'lock in' regional theatrical release dates. Fans are encouraged to contact Manga through twitter or facebook and request or petition the company to bring the film to their local cinema.

The feature film version of Blue Exorcist, scheduled for release on May 26, will also be available at the preceding London Comic Con (May 23 to 25). There will be a Collectors Edition Blu-ray of the film with a bonus DVD disc, poster, art cards and slip cover.

Manga has been unable to release a box-set of Mamoru Hosoda's three features as it had hoped to do. It was prohibited by different companies owning the different films.
