Ryōhei Kimura to play Osamu Osanai from Isoginchaku arc of Yasuhisa Kubo's supernatural comedy

Kodansha began streaming a promotional video for the new Yondemasuyo, Azazel-san (They're Calling for You, Mr. Azazel) original anime DVD on Friday. The limited-edition 11th volume of Yasuhisa Kubo's manga will bundle the anime when it ships in Japan on June 23. The bundle will cost 3,314 yen (about US$33), and fans can pre-order until April 23.

This is the first anime adaptation of the manga's "legendary" Isoginchaku (Anemone) arc. (This arc was not animated in either season of the television series.) In addition, the bespectacled student and brilliant magic user Osamu Osanai (played by Ryōhei Kimura) will make his animated debut.

The original anime DVD will run about 25 minutes long and reunite the "golden tag team" staff from the television anime at Production I.G, led by director Tsutomu Mizushima. Daishiro Tanimura wrote the script, and Junichirō Taniguchi is designing the characters. Kazuhiro Wakabayashi is directing the sound, and Ryuji Takagi is scoring the soundtrack with Starchild Records. The television cast members are also reprising their roles, including:

The gag comedy story revolves around the detective Akutabe, his assistant Rinko sakuma., and the various magical demons (such as Azazel) that Akutabe uses for his cases. The manga has been running in Kodansha's Evening magazine since 2007, and the fourth, fifth, and eighth manga volumes shipped with the first, second, and third anime DVDs, respectively. The manga was nominated for the 2nd Manga Taisho Award on 2009.
