Persona 4 U2 PS3 Game's Chie, Shadow Labrys Character Promos Streamed

Shadow Labrys has new dialect, new Persona Asterius for fighting game shipping in Japan in August, NA this fall

The official YouTube channel for Japanese game developer Atlus began streaming a character promotional video for Chie Satōnaka and Shadow Labrys for the upcoming PlayStation 3 port of the Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultrasuplex Hold arcade game, the sequel to Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena (Persona 4 Arena outside Japan). Unlike normal Labrys, who speaks with a Kansai dialect, Shadow Labrys speaks without one, and instead speaks in thug slang.

Chie: Those who laugh at meat will cry at meat's feet! Have you understood the meat power!?
Chie: I'm just going to move down the path I choose! We're going to be the ones who protect this town!
Chie: Wha... Destruction!? As if I would understand that! What the heck are you saying!?
Chie: Geez, why does he think I brought him along!? Being alone at a time like this, seriously, no thank you... Wait, waaaah!?
Chie: Yeah, looks like it. And anyway, what is up with this situation!? Is this really reality!?
Chie: Teacher! I'm so glad, you're all ri...
Chie: ...Ambition? Ugh, I am so ticked off now! Get ready, you fake! Fly away!
Narrator: The meat-eating beast who threw away femininity! The boyish, kicking dragon! Chie Satōnaka!
Chie: Our town has turned into this!? This is pretty bad!!
Chie: Why you...!! If you intend to get in my way, I won't hold back! Here we go! Boooom!
Chie: Ugh, I already said! I haven't thrown away my femininity!
Shadow Chie: It sure is easy shutting up people with violence, huh?

Shadow Labrys: Bonds? Such naive words, as usual.
Shadow Labrys: Ahahahahahaha-!! You're an eyesore, you stupid kid! An order? To me!? There's no way I'd listen, you idiot!
Shadow Labrys: I'll break everything I want to break! Get in my way or give me orders, that includes all of you screwed up brats!!
Shadow Labrys: I'm not just a Shadow anymore. Now that I'm out, I'm going to go crazy, just as I please!!
Shadow Labrys: Get ready. Come on! Persona! Asterius!
Narrator: Thou art shadow, the incarnation of destruction! The supreme and Raging Bull! Shadow Labrys!
Shadow Labrys: This way really is the best, with me being me! Everything, just break! Blow away! This time... This time for sure, I'll crush you into pieces!!

The PlayStation 3 port of the arcade game will ship in Japan on August 28. First copies will come with a code to download extra scenario set for the game. Atlus will ship the game in North America this fall under the title Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

The story takes place only a few days after the events of Persona 4 Arena, when the town of Inaba is clouded in a shroud of red fog in which time is warped and people disappear. Inaba has almost become like the world inside the television. To add to it all, the members of the Persona 4 team find Mitsuru and Akihiko being crucified on the Midnight Channel. In front of the Inaba students appear Yukari and Junpei, members of the Shadow Worker unit who have come to the rural town in order to save their upperclassmen.

Atlus released the first Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena game in Japan last summer on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, and Atlus USA released the game in North America.
