North American manga publisher Viz Media announced on Wednesday that it has licensed Tamayo Akiyama's one-volume Zyword manga and Miki Kizuki's two-volume Eureka Seven: Gravity Boys & Lifting Girl manga. Both releases are license rescues and will be digital only.

Viz Media describes Zyword as follows:

Tamayo Akiyama, a former member of CLAMP, has crafted a fantasy adventure that will leave readers spellbound! Welcome to Zyword, a world filled with sorcery. When Zyword's Araimel Kingdom is put under a spell, it's up to the two sole survivors to save the citizens before they perish in an eternal sleep!

Tokyopop previously released Zyword in North America in 2009. Viz Media will release the manga digitally on November 10.

Viz Media describes Eureka Seven: Gravity Boys & Lifting Girl as follows:

This is the story of young Ruri and Sumner, the characters from the Sony Playstation Eureka Seven video games, now featured in their own original manga!

Bandai Entertainment previously released the two volumes in North America in 2007. Viz Media will release the first volume digitally on November 17.

Viz Media also released the first digital chapter of Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba's Platinum End manga on Wednesday. The chapter costs US$0.99. The company describes the manga: "From the legendary duo that brought you DEATH NOTE and BAKUMAN comes a dark story of humans and angels. Mirai is a boy who has lost hope in the future. Can a fateful meeting with an angel turn his life around, or will he be plunged into further despair."
