Saikano's Shin Takahashi to Launch Kanata Kakeru Manga

The combined fourth and fifth 2016 issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine announced on Monday that Shin Takahashi (Saikano) will launch the Kanata Kakeru manga in the next issue. The combined sixth and seventh 2016 issue will go on sale in Japan on January 4.
The story will center on one girl and two boys. An ekiden (long-distance relay race) comes to a certain town once a year. The trio participate in the race as they pass through youth in this classic ekiden story.
The first 63-page chapter will include color pages. The magazine revealed in November that Takahashi would launch a new series.
Takahashi launched the Hatsukoi Honya. series last December and Hakusensha published its single compiled volume in November. Viz Media released Takahashi's Saikano manga in North America. The series inspired a television anime, original video anime, and live-action film. Takahashi's other manga include Iihito, Saishū Heiki Kanojo Another World, and Yuki ni Tsubasa.
