Yoshino Nanjō, Ayami Tsukui Star in New Tama and Friends Anime

The official website for the Tama and Friends anime announced the main staff and cast for the upcoming new series of shorts. The website also announced that the series will premiere in October in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.
The anime stars Ayami Tsukui (Chobitto-Zukan) and Yoshino Nanjō (Love Live!).
Kachidoki Studio is producing the anime in collaboration with Sony Creative Products. Jun Kanzaki is directing the series and Hiroshi Izawa is writing the scripts. Girl group La Pompon is perfroming the opening theme. Episodes will be approximately one minute long.
Sony Creative Products created the Tama and Friends characters in 1983. The anime franchise began with an original video anime series in 1989, followed by the Sanchome no Tama: Uchi no Tama Shirimasenka? television anime in 1994 and the anime film San-chōme no Tama: Onegai! Momo-chan o Sagashite!! in 1993. A spinoff television anime, Tama & Friends: Sagase! Mahō no Punipuni Stone, aired in 2006. 4Kids Entertainment licensed the original television anime in 2001 and aired an English-dubbed version in North America.
In 2013, in commemoration of the franchise's 30th anniversary Sony Creative Products released several forms of media, including a novel, a real experience game, a picture book reissue, and stage play adaptation.
