Inori Minase Cancels Events, Appearances After Receiving Death Threat Online

Voice actress, singer consults with local authorities after threat came from Taiwan

Sony Music Artists and King Records announced on Friday that they are canceling several events in November and December for voice actress and singer Inori Minase after Minase received a death threat online. The threat came from Taiwan, and Minase and her staff consulting with local authorities. The companies said that they are canceling the events in order to prioritize the safety of Minase and guests.

Minase is canceling her performance at an upcoming larger event at the Taipei International Convention Center in Taiwan on December 3, and canceling a greeting session planned at an Animate store in Taipei on December 4.

Additionally, Minase is cancelling events commemorating the release of her third single "Starry Wish" in Osaka (planned for November 26), Hiroshima (November 27), Ogura (November 27), Akihabara in Tokyo (December 17 and 23), and Ikebukuro in Tokyo (December 23). Minase is also canceling any and all upcoming events and appearances until further notice.

Minase also provided a comment for the announcement, apologizing to all the fans who were looking forward to seeing her, and said she is very sad and disappointed. She asked for fans' understanding and continued support.

Minase released her "Starry Wish" single on November 9. The song serves as the ending theme song for the ViVid Strike! television anime series.
