Sanrio's Deeky & Carina Anime Shorts Premiere May 7

Anime about wolf & squirrel in band stars Takuya Eguchi, Arisa Date

TV Osaka's website for the Japan Countdown television music program unveiled the title and details for its short anime series collaboration with Sanrio on Sunday. The series, titled Deeky & Carina, will premiere on May 7. It will have 45-second episodes.

The story follows the squirrel Carina, who seems sweet but actually has a foul mouth, and the wolf Deeky, who seems wild but is actually self-conscious. The two form a band and aim to perform at a festival.

Takuya Eguchi (My Love Story!!'s Takeo Gōda, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU's Hachiman Hikigaya) voices Deeky and Arisa Date (Idol Time PriPara's Yui Yumekawa, Saki - The Nationals' Suzu Ueshige) voices Carina.

Ryosuke Aoike is directing the series at Fanworks Inc. Toru Hosokawa is writing the series. Sanrio Inc., Rocking on Inc., TV Osaka, and Fanworks are producing the series.

Japan Countdown airs on TV Osaka, TV Tokyo, TV Hokkaido, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, and TVQ Kyushu every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
