Zombieland Saga Anime's Video Reveals Staff, More Cast, October 4 Premiere

The official website for Cygames' original television anime Zombie Land Saga began streaming a promotional video for the anime on Monday. The video revealed the anime's additional cast, staff, October 4 premiere, and theme song artists. The site also revealed a new visual.
The site describes the anime's story:
The usual mornings. The usual music. The usual self. For seven girls, a peaceful life was all of a sudden destroyed. All at the hands of zombies, dead things that somehow remained moving. Now they step into a new world, whether they liked it or not. A "zombieworld" that represented both the best and the worst. The seven girls had only one wish: "We want to live." This is the miraculous saga that these girls bring about.

In addition, the site revealed a new character named Tae Yamada (seen below), but with no revealed voice actor for the role.

Munehisa Sakai (One Piece Film Strong World, Suite Precure, Sailor Moon Crystal) is directing the anime at MAPPA. "Kōhōkōchōka Zombie-gakari" (PR Zombie) is credited for the original work. Shigeru Murakoshi (Kakegurui, Garo -Vanishing Line- epsisode scripts) is in charge of series composition. Kasumi Fukagawa (Persona 3 the Movie #1 Spring of Birth assistant animation director) is designing the characters, Kazuo Ogura is the art director, Takashi Yanagida is the director of photography, and Masahiro Goto is the editor. Azusa Sasaki is in charge of color design, and Yasuharu Takanashi is composing the music. Avex Pictures is credited for music production, while dugout is credited for sound production.
Hondo, Tano, Taneda, Kawase, Kinugawa, and Tanaka are performing both the opening and ending theme songs as their respective characters. The opening theme song is titled "Adabana Necormancy" (Fruitless Necromancy). The ending theme song is titled "Hikari e" (To the Light).
The anime will premiere on AT-X, Tokyo MX, Sun TV and BS11 on October 4, and will later premiere on Saga TV and TVQ on October 5. The show will also begin streaming on Abema TV on October 4. The show will have 12 episodes.
MAPPA and Avex Pictures are working with Cygames to produce the anime. Cygames describes the anime as a "refreshing new twist" on the zombie genre.
