The official Twitter account for the Anime NYC convention announced on Wednesday that manga publisher Denpa will bring manga creators and illustrators Hiroyuki Asada and Range Murata as guests of the convention. Both artists will appear at panels and autograph signings during the event.

Asada made his manga debut with the Hades manga in Shueisha's Monthly Shonen Jump magazine in 1986. He also later serialized Bad da ne Yoshio-kun! in the same magazine. He launched his basketball manga I'll [Generation Basket] in 1995, and his PEZ science fiction manga in 2004. He launched a manga set in the same world as PEZ titled Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee in 2006. Recently, he has provided the original character designs for the anime Cheer Boys!!, and the currently airing anime The Girl in Twilight. He is providing original character designs for the upcoming Dororo anime. Both I'll [Generation Basket] and Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee inspired their own anime adaptations. Denpa recently announced that it will publish PEZ.

Murata is a prolific illustrator who has done work in video games, manga, and anime. His game credits include Atlus' Power Instinct and Groove on Fight series, Spy Fiction, and Sega's Wachenröder. In anime, he is associated with many GONZO studio series, including designs for Blue Submarine No. 6, Last Exile, Solty Rei, the cancelled Mardock Scramble OVA, and Shangri-La. He illustrated the Attack on Titan: The Harsh Mistress of the City novels by Ryo Kawakami. Denpa recently announced that it will publish Murata's Futurelog artbook.
