Anime based on Chinese web comic reunites cast, staff from 1st, 2nd season

Animation studio Fanworks (Aggretsuko, Hagane Orchestra) announced on Wednesday that it is producing a third season for the Ani Ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai! (There's No Cure for My Brother Being Around Me!) television anime. Tencent will begin streaming the series in China in August. The anime will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX1 on October 7 at 9:54 p.m. The Twitter account also revealed four screenshots from the new season.

Rarecho (Aggretsuko) returns to direct the anime at Imagineer and Fanworks, and will also pen the scripts. The cast from the first and second season are returning for the third season. The anime is based on a Chinese web comic by Yu Lei. The new season will have 12 episodes, and will adapt stories from the comic, but will also feature original stories.

The original manga's story centers on a violent girl who strikes her idiot older brother. The story also focuses on sibling love, love, and food. The web manga has been read more than 500 million times online in China.

The first season premiered in China in March 2017, and aired on Tokyo MX1 in Japan in April 2017. The second season premiered on Tokyo MX1 last July, and also streamed in China last summer.
