ID: INVADED Original Anime Gets Manga on October 4

Anime's character designer Yūki Kodama draws, scriptwriter Otaro Maijo pens story

The October issue of Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine revealed on Wednesday that the original anime project ID: INVADED will have a manga adaptation titled ID: INVADED #BRAKE BROKEN that will debut in the magazine's next issue on October 4. Yūki Kodama, the anime's character designer, is drawing the manga. Otaro Maijo, the scriptwriter for the anime, is credited for the original work alongside The Detectives United.

As previously announced, the anime is slated for a 2020 debut. Ei Aoki (Re:CREATORS, Aldnoah.Zero, Fate/Zero) is directing the anime, and writer and novelist Maijo (The Dragon Dentist, Spotless Love: This Love Cannot Be Any More Beautiful.) is the scriptwriter. Atsushi Ikariya (Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel I. presage flower, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works) is designing the characters based on the original designs of Kodama (Blood Lad manga creator, Hamatora manga artist).

Aoki's most recent work is the 2017 television anime Re:CREATORS, which was a collaboration between him and artist Rei Hiroe, who is co-credited with Aoki on the original work for the anime. Aoki directed the anime at his studio TROYCA.

Maijo most recently serialized the Spotless Love: This Love Cannot Be Any More Beautiful. manga, but he also credited for the original work on The Dragon Dentist anime. Maijo is also known for his hard-boiled novels, such as Smoke, Soil, or Sacrifices and Disco Detective Wednesday.
