Singer, Actor, Voice Actor Tsunehiko Kamijo Dies

A funeral limited to close family was held.
Kamijo was born in Nagano Prefecture on March 7, 1940. He debuted as a singer in June 1962, and won the Grand Prize at the World Popular Song Festival in 1971 for his song "Tabidachi no Uta."
In anime, he voiced the manager in Spirited Away, Gonza in Princess Mononoke, Mamma Auito Boss in Porco Rosso, and Boss in Kentauros no Densetsu. He also voiced Cash in Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Great Adventure in the South Seas.
He has performed on stage in such works as Man of La Mancha, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, My Fair Lady, Twelfth Night, and Zorro, among others. He played the role of the prison warden and innkeeper in Man of La Mancha for 948 performances from 1977 until 2023.
He voiced Sebastian in the Japanese dub (speaking and singing) in The Little Mermaid film.
Kamijo also appeared in many live-action television series such as 3-Nen B-Gumi Kinpachi-sensei (Mr. Kinpachi in Class 3B).
