Assassination Classroom The Movie: Our Time Anime Film to Release in Indian Theaters

Muse Asia announced on Friday that it has licensed Assassination Classroom The Movie: Our Time (Gekijōban Ansatsu Kyōshitsu Minna no Jikan), the new anime film of Yūsei Matsui's Assassination Classroom manga for a theatrical release in India in 2026.
The film will open in Japan on March 20, 2026, and celebrates the anime's 10th anniversary. Muse Asia will also screen the film in theaters in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia in 2026.
The new film contains a full collection of episodes that were left out of the anime due to time constraints. The original manga's author Matsui stated that the film is not just a 10th anniversary project, but is also a continuation of the main story.
Matsui's Assassination Classroom manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2016. The manga inspired a 22-episode television anime series that aired in 2015, and a 25-episode second season that aired in 2016. An anime film then opened in Japan in November 2016.
The Assassination Classroom anime got Tamil and Telugu dubs in February 2024. Crunchyroll made the anime a free title in May 2024. JioHotstar added the anime as a launch title to its Anime Hub content slate in the same year. Crunchyroll added Hindi dubs of the first and second season of the anime in August 2024. Amazon's MX Player streaming service added the Hindi dub of the first season on May 9.
Assassination Classroom also inspired two live-action films that opened in Japan in March 2015 and March 2016, respectively.
