Tokyopop Releases Cinemanga for Pooh's Heffalump Movie

TOKYOPOP GUARANTEES READERS WILL “HEFFA NICE DAY" WHEN POOH'S HEFFALUMP MOVIE CINE-MANGA
BOOK ARRIVES IN STORES IN JUNE 2005

Los Angeles, CA (March 31, 2005) – TokyoPop Inc., the #1 publisher of manga in the U.S., and Disney Publishing Worldwide present an all-new exciting adventure from the Hundred-Acre Wood when Pooh's Heffalump Movie Cine-Manga book arrives in stores everywhere this summer. Releasing day and date with Buena Vista Home Entertainment's DVD, Pooh's Heffalump Movie Cine-Manga is a delightfully funny, lushly illustrated family adventure that teaches children the important lesson of tolerance and the true meaning of friendship. Delivered in TOKYOPOP's trademarked Cine-Manga format, the book version will present the story's charming dynamics and endearing plotline with vivid screen captures and manga-style word balloons.

When awakened by a rumbling that could only be made by the much-feared Heffalump, Pooh, Piglet and Tigger set out to capture the creature. Disregarded as far too young to take part in such a dangerous expedition, Roo opts to search on his own—with far better success than his friends. In meeting a young and friendly Heffalump named “Lumpy,” Roo quickly learns an important lesson: Heffalumps are nothing like he's been told, and he has much more to gain by befriending Lumpy than fearing him. Roo and Lumpy strike up a sweet friendship and work together to dispel the unfounded fears of their respective friends and family.

“Winnie the Pooh and friends are renowned for teaching children terrific life lessons,” said TOKYOPOP's Senior Editor of Cine-Manga, Elizabeth Hurchalla, “TOKYOPOP is honored to bring this sweet educational story to young readers in an entirely new format.”
