Digital Manga Guild's New Website Goes Live

On February 9th, 2012, the Digital Manga Guild's new website went live! Our tech guys and graphic designers put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (well, it probably wasn't THAT dramatic, but they did work hard!) into the design and function of the site.

What is the Digital Manga Guild? It's an innovative system where publishers and fans can work together to bring translated manga to the rest of the world. Fans who are skilled in Japanese to English translation, editing, or typesetting can join the Guild and work in a group with others to produce a book that will be published through Digital Manga. It's a new, accessible way to gain experience in the manga industry! So with all the explanations out of the way, we'd like to introduce DMGers both present and future, to all the exciting new site features!

DMG members can now manage their work online through the new account dashboard. The Schedule A can now be viewed and edited from the dashboard - other relevant documents, such as the DMG Agreement, can be found and printed from there as well. You can also personalize your account with a profile and an uploadable avatar. The profile and avatar will be viewable by other DMG members in the new "find-a-DMGer" - using this system you'll be able to get in touch with other DMGers for grouping or chatting purposes. Don't want people bothering you? No problem, you can remain invisible to the find-a-DMGer system if you so choose.

You probably noticed the rotating banner on the front page: That changes to display the newest DMG titles on emanga - another bit of extra exposure for DMG books!

But wait, there's more! (No really, I mean it!) We've made the site a lot easier for us at DMI to work with, which means we'll be able to keep up with DMG activities and assignments in a more efficient manner - a faster process for everyone in the end.

We hope you enjoy the new site - if you run in to any problems let us know! We'll be happy to fix it all up.
