Beyblade World Record Challenge

PITTSBURGH, PA. – Tekko, the region's premier anime, gaming, fashion, music and Japanese Pop Culture convention, now in its seventeenth year, will be returning to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh, Pa., April 11 - 14, 2019.

Tekko & The Pittsburgh Japanese Culture Society are proud to attempt a world record breaking event with sponsorship by Hasbro. On Saturday, April 13th, 2019, in Hall A of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center at 2:00 PM, Tekko attendees will attempt to break a world record for “most people spinning tops simultaneously” with 1,000 Tekko attendees spinning tops at once! Using Hasbro's ‘Beyblade’ product, we plan to spin our way to glory.

To break this record, we will have twenty moderators managing groups of fifty in successfully spinning tops all together, while two witnesses ensure the record is broken. The event will be filmed from multiple angles, including drone footage throughout the hall. With such an exciting event, we want to make sure we do not miss a moment!

Join us as we attempt to bring a world record to Pittsburgh!

Tekko, presented by the non-profit Pittsburgh Japanese Culture Society, continues to establish a social framework through which regional anime and gaming fans can interact with each other in a friendly, fun and safe environment.
