Tokyo, JP (December 4th, 2020) - Dwango Co., Ltd. (https://dwango.co.jp/english/index.html), the operator for Japan's largest social video website Niconico, has announced details for The VOCALOID Collection ~Winter 2020~ which will be held on December 11th (Fri.)~ 13th (Sun.), 2020.
The VOCALOID Collection is an online/offline festival which commemorates Vocaloid culture and amasses a plethora of content enjoyable for all those involved - Vocaloid creators and listeners alike. The event will be showcasing live music concerts, DJ shows and talk shows by popular Vocaloid P, online convention dedicated to Vocaloid merchandise as well as user competitions for Vocaloid original music, remixes and derivative works. Popular Vocaloid P such as ryo (supercell), kz (livetune) and Kairiki bear will also be distributing their music's stem file enabling users to create remixes. The event and its activities welcome all voice synthesizer software which includes VOCALOID, UTAU, CeVIO, VOICEROID, NEUTRINO, SynthesizerV and HATSUNE MIKU NT.

┃The VOCALOID Collection LIVE
The VOCALOID Collection Live is a music concert comprising of DJ shows, band programs and other activities performed by popular artists such as Hachioji P and Pinocchio P. The concert, which will be held on December 12th (Sat.), will be divided into 2 sections – the first half will feature memorable Vocaloid classics from 2009~2014 and the second half will be covering trending music from 2015-2020. Tickets for online viewing and onsite viewing (at the actual venue) will be sold at Dwango Ticket.

┃Live Streaming Programs
Niconico will be live streaming talk shows and outdoor DJ performances by popular Vocaloid P, as well as a rebroadcast of Vocaloid music concerts held at Niconico Cho Party. Additionally, with the cooperation from Crypton Future Media, INC and The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan Net Creators Association will be live streaming introductory classes for Vocaloid music production.
┃Vocaloid Video Ranking Contest
During the event period, Niconico will be hosting a ranking contest for Vocaloid videos posted by users. The ranking consists of 4 categories – Vocaloid Collection TOP 30 Ranking, Vocaloid Collection REMIX Ranking, Vocaloid Collection Rookie Ranking and Derivative Works Ranking. Ranking criteria include views, comments, My Lists and likes. Top ranking videos will be featured in the official live streaming show and its creators will also receive cash prizes from Vocaloid Collection sponsors (details to be released at a later date). The ranking contest is open to all voice synthesizer software, which includes VOCALOID, UTAU, CeVIO, VOICEROID, NEUTRINO, SynthesizerV and HATSUNE MIKU NT.

Famous Vocaloid P such as ryo (supercell) and kz (livetune) will be sharing stem files for their original Vocaloid music to enable users to create remixes. Stem files are available for download at Vocaloid Collection's official website. Additionally, during the event period, top-ranking remixes made from these stem files will be featured in the event's official live streaming show.
*Stems are stereo recordings sourced from mixes of multiple individual tracks which gives creators more options when making remixes.

Beginning on December 11th (Fri.) 23:00 JST, Niconico will be streaming a 40 hours long Vocaloid music show which consists of 3 sections - Vocaloid Collection TOP 30 Cruise, which gives spotlight to top ranking music in the Vocaloid Collection TOP 30 Ranking, Vocaloid All Time Best Cruise, which features iconic Vocaloid music, and User Request Cruise, which is a collection of music requested by users. Through commenting, viewers can converse with other like-minded fans regarding their favorite music.
┃User Playlist – Recommend and Share Your Fave
During the event period, Niconico will be calling out to users to submit their Vocaloid playlist. Selected playlists will be featured in the Vocaloid Collection's official website.
How to Participate
Create a playlist consisting of 10 Vocaloid songs (or songs created by other voice synthesizer software) using Niconico's My List function and post its URL on Twitter with the hashtag #私のプレイリスト and #ボカコレ.
