Square Enix, Index's Kamachi, Hyadain, 50+ artists make phone RPG

Game publisher Square Enix began streaming the opening to its upcoming Kaku-San-Sei Million Arthur card battle role-playing game on Monday. J.C. Staff animated the opening animation sequence, and Ken'ichi Maeyamada (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts, MM!, Shining Hearts -Shiawase no Pan-) wrote, scored, and arranged the featured "Million of Bravery" song for singer Choucho (Eiyū Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki The Animation, Heaven's Memo Pad).

The Kaku-San-Sei Million Arthur game centers on the true King Arthur who pulls a sword from a stone — except there are a million people who claim the title, each with an Excalibur sword. The game is being targeted towards smartphones.

Kazuma Kamachi (A Certain Magical Index) has been writing for the game. A team of more than 50 illustrators are working on the Kaku-San-Sei Million Arthur cards, including major figures such as Kiyotaka Haimura (A Certain Magical Index), Yuichi Tanaka (A Certain Magical Index, Natsuiro Kiseki), Hidari (Fractale, Natsuiro Kiseki), Miho Takeoka (Bungaku Shōjo), Suzuhito Yasuda (Durarara!!, Yozakura Quartet), BUNBUN, Takehito Harada (Disgaea), Kouhaku Kuroboshi (Sky Girls), Tinkle (Ro-Kyu-Bu!), VOFAN (Bakemonogatari, Tokitowa), and Yasu (Toradora!).

Hyadain is composing the soundtrack, and the voice cast includes Mamoru Miyano, Rina Satou, Rie Kugimiya, Kanae Ito, Eri Kitamura, and Yūichi Iguchi.
