Zettai Karen Children Spinoff Anime's Cast Announced

Yūichi Nakamura, Wataru Hatano, Kōji Ochiai, Kishô Taniyama return for TV series premiering in 2013

The official website for the upcoming Courtesy of Zettai Karen Children - The Unlimited - Kyōsuke Hyōbu spinoff television anime series revealed the series' cast and additional staff on Wednesday.

The cast is as follows:

Yūichi Nakamura as Kōichi Minamoto
Wataru Hatano as Yoh Fujiura
Kōji Ochiai as Shirō Magi
Kishô Taniyama as Shūji Sakaki

Sayaka Ōhara is replacing Saeko Chiba as Momiji Kanō and Nao Tōyama is joining the cast as as Yūgiri. It was previously revealed that Kōji Yusa is reprising his role as Kyōsuke Hyōbu and Junichi Suwabe will play Andy Hinomiya.

The story centers around the character Kyōsuke Hyōbu. In Takashi Shiina's original Zettai Karen Children manga and its anime adaptations, Hyōbu is the P.A.N.D.R.A leader who wants people with ESP powers like himself to wipe out the "Normals."

Shishō Igarashi (Deadman Wonderland episode director, Armored Trooper Votoms Case;Irvine director) is directing this "hard-boiled action" anime at the anime studio Manglobe, and Shinichi Inotsume (first Zettai Karen Children, Hayate the Combat Butler, Sket Dance) is in charge of the series scripts. Jun Takagi (Romeo × Juliet, Submarine 707R) is serving as the character designer and chief animation director, and Kenji Teraoka (Armored Trooper Votoms Case;Irvine, Blood+, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) is the mechanical designer. Kotaro Nakagawa (first Zettai Karen Children, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Hayate the Combat Butler) is scoring the soundtrack, and Yukio Nagasaki (C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility, Halo Legends) is the sound director.

Additional staff members include Kenichi Kantoh as art director and Reiko Iwasawa as color designer.

The series will premiere on TV Tokyo and other stations next year.
