Voice actress Ai Maeda confirmed on Sunday that she and voice actor Ryotaro Okiayu had gotten married. Both belong to the same agency, Aoni Production, and Maeda said that she plans to continue working.
The two had just appeared at a Saturday event marking the 30th anniversary of Aoni Production's Osaka acting school. (Okiayu was in the school's sixth class, while Maeda was in the 11th class.)
Okiayu's many roles include the title character in Toriko, Berserker in Fate/Zero, Byakuya Kuchiki in Bleach, and Hisashi Mitsui in Slam Dunk. Maeda played Mimi Tachikawa in Digimon Adventure, Yura Keikain in Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, Karen Minazuki/Cure Aqua in Yes! Precure 5, and O-Ren Ishii in the animated Kill Bill Chapter 3: The Origin of O-Ren segment. The two had acted in Denshin Mamotte Shugogetten, Gegege no Kitarō, Hatarakids My Ham Gumi, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, Yes! Precure 5 GoGo!, and Zatch Bell, although not necessarily in the same scenes.
Update: Okiayu also made the announcement on his blog. Thanks, GokuMew2.
