Otakon to Host Prolific Voice Actor Tomokazu Seki

Otakon announced on Thursday that prolific voice actor and singer Tomokazu Seki will attend the August convention in Maryland as a Guest of Honor. Among his many credits, Seki voiced Touya Kinomoto in Card Captor Sakura, Hiromu Shinbo in Chobits, Van in Escaflowne, Tōji in Evangelion, Archer/Gilgamesh in Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night, Kyō in Fruits Basket, Sōsuke in Full Metal Panic!, Chichiri in Fushigi Yugi, Domon in Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Jun Kitagawa in Kanon, Shinya Kōgami in Psycho-Pass, and Itaru "Daru" Hashida in Steins;Gate. Seki appeared at Otakon in 2007.

Seki joins the following previously-announced guests: singer Chiaki Ishikawa, novelist and Rurouni Kenshin creator's wife Kaoru Kurosaki, Japanese cultural writer Takamasa Sakurai, Sword Art Online designers Tetsuya Kawakami and Shingo Adachi, composer Yoko Kanno, hip-hop group Home Made Kazoku, singer T.M. Revolution, and MADHOUSE anime studio founder Masao Maruyama. The convention is also hosting voice actress Maile Flanagan and voice actor Vic Mignogna. Otakon is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Otakon 2013 will be held August 9­-11 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
