Episodes to be included with 3rd, 4th DVD/Blu-ray volumes out this fall

This fall, Bandai Visual will ship the Blu-ray Disc/DVD volumes for the Senyū. Dai 2 Ki fantasy battle comedy anime with two new original video anime (OVA) episodes.

The third Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume will ship on October 25 with the episodes 14-19 from the television series. The release will include the new OVA "Shitsuji-chō no Tabi Sono 2" (The Head Steward's Journey Part 2) by scriptwriter Michiko Yokote. Other extras include a sound drama CD, an eight-page booklet, a season one omnibus, and audio commentaries. "Shitsuji-chō no Tabi Sono 1" was included as a bonus with the first season home video release.

The fourth Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume will ship on November 22 with television episodes 20-26, the new OVA "Gakuen Senyū.~ Seishun Monogatari~" (Campus Senyū. ~Youth Story~), a sound drama CD, an eight-page booklet, promotional video collection, and audio commentaries. The Blu-ray Disc version of both volumes will add a feature that lets viewers watch the episodes with Niconico's signature scrolling comments.

Both anime seasons adapt Robinson Haruhara's original manga. In the manga, a gigantic hole suddenly opened up in the world one day, and demons appeared. The king thinks that this portends the return of Satan Rchimedes, who was sealed away by the hero Creation a millenium ago. The king decreed that the descendants of the hero must take on the threat, and 75 people showed up. Hero No. 45 (Alba, played by Hiro Shimono) and a sadistic palace warrior (Ross, played by Yūichi Nakamura) team up, and their adventure begins.

Yutaka Yamamoto (Kannagi, Fractale, episodes of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Lucky Star) is directing the series at his Ordet studio and LIDEN FILMS. Michiko Yokote (Genshiken, Squid Girl, xxxHOLiC) is in charge of the series scripts, and Ushio Tazawa (The Place Promised in Our Early Days, The Telepathy Girl Ran) is designing the characters.

The second season premiered on July 2, and Crunchyroll is streaming it into several countries as it airs.
