Super Robot Wars V PS4/PS Vita Game's Promo Shows Off Attacks

Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a new promotional video for its upcoming Super Robot Wars V PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game on Wednesday. The first part of the video connects the timelines of Mobile Suit Gundam's One-Year War and Char's Rebellion with Space Battleship Yamato 2199's Gamillan invasion, before showing attacks from various robots.
The game will ship in Japan on February 23.
Early adopters will receive download codes for the Huckebein and Grungust robots (pictured below). The picture also shows the robots' pilots, Vertab Text (voiced by Ryōsuke Kanemoto) and Charlotte Hasting (voiced by Haruka Terui). In addition to the robots' download codes, preorders include a "Special Starter Pack" and the Super Robot Wars V original theme.
The game will have wo protagonists and the Vangray robot:
Both the PS4 and PS Vita editions will be available in regular edition and a limited "Premium Anisong & Sound Edition" that comes with 35 background songs. The retail prices are as follows:
- PS4 Physical Regular Edition: 8,600 yen (about US$82)
- PS Vita Physical Regular Edition: 7,600 yen (about US$73)
- PS4 Digital Regular Edition: 7,740 yen (about US$74) until March 22
- PS Vita Digital Regular Edition: 6,840 yen (about US$66) until March 22
- PS4 Physical Limited Edition: 12,600 yen (about US$121)
- PS Vita Physical Limited Edition: 11,600 yen (about US$112)
- PS4 Digital Limited Edition: 11,340 yen (about US$109) until March 22
- PS Vita Digital Limited Edition: 10,440 yen (about US$100) until March 22
The game is the second project in the franchise's 25th anniversary celebration. This will be the first game in the franchise to feature characters or mecha from the following works:

- Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Steel Seven
