Shintarō Mugiwara Starts New Baseball Manga

Wan! debuts on June 2

The June issue of Shogakukan's Monthly CoroCoro Comic magazine announced on Thursday that Shintarō Mugiwara will launch a new baseball series titled Wan! in the Weekly CoroCoro Comic magazine on June 2. The magazine teases a story about a genius baseball player who gets reincarnated as a dog. "Wan" is an onomatopoeia for a dog's bark.

Mugiwara ended Tsuri Spirits (Fishing Spirits, pictured right), the manga adaptation of Bandai Namco Entertainment's Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits game, in February 2024.

Mugiwara published a special two-part manga for the game in the magazine in October and November 2022, and the manga started its serialization in December 2022.

Shogakukan published the manga's first compiled book volume in March 2023, and the third and final volume in April 2024.
