Crunchyroll is now streaming Project Team Argos and Madhouse's 1987 film Manie Manie: Neo Tokyo in select regions with subtitles in English, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

The 50-minute film is a science-fiction anthology with three separate segments with different directors and screenwriters. Masao Maruyama produced the film, and the directors and scriptwriters for the three segments were Rintarō (Metropolis), Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Ninja Scroll), and Katsuhiro Ōtomo (Akira). All three segments are based on short stories by Taku Mayumura.

The film originally premiered at the Tokyo International Fantastic Film Festival in 1987. It received a VHS release in October 1987. Streamline Pictures brought the film to theaters and VHS in North America with an English dub. ADV Films later released the film on DVD in 2004, 2008, and 2009.
