Gakkō dewa Oshiete Kurenai Taisetsu na Koto Children's Guidebooks Get TV Anime

Publisher Ōbunsha announced on Tuesday that its Gakkō dewa Oshiete Kurenai Taisetsu na Koto (Important Things They Don't Teach You at School) children's guidebook series is inspiring a television anime that will premiere in TV Tokyo this summer. The anime's official YouTube channel is streaming a teaser promotional video for the anime.

The anime will begin from the series' first book, which centers on the topic of how to keep things tidy and organized. The anime celebrates the book series' 10th anniversary.
The cast for the anime's first story includes:
- Haruka Chisuga as Seita Katazuse, a boy who is bad at studying and keeping things tidy
- Yumiri Hanamori as Rika, Seita's kind and responsible younger sister
- Makoto Koichi as Seita's mother
- Fukushi Ochiai as Seiton, a tidy person who gives all sorts of advice to Seita
- Kōki Ohsuzu as Kattan, the Katazuse family's dog
Kana Nakazawa is directing the anime at IMAGICA Infos (Imageworks Studio).
The book series aims to teach children practical life lessons on various topics, such as cleanliness, organization, learning strategies, and human relationships. The first book in the series shipped in July 2015, and the 48th and latest book shipped in June 2024. The book series has 4 million copies in circulation.
