I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class Manga's Rin Ono Launches New Manga

The Truth Is, I Want to Enjoy My Youth Too debuts in Comic Yuri Hime on July 17

The August issue of Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine announced on Wednesday that Rin Ono will launch a new manga titled The Truth Is, I Want to Enjoy My Youth Too (Watashi Datte Seishun Shitai yo, Hontō wa) manga in the magazine's next issue on July 17. The manga will have a color opening page. Ono's first series in Comic Yuri Hime will celebrate the magazine's 20th anniversary.

Rin Ono draws the manga adaptation of Takata's Class de 2-ban Me ni Kawaii Onna no Ko to Tomodachi ni Natta light novel series. Yen Press licensed the manga and will release the first volume (seen right) on July 1 with the title I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class.

Ono launched the manga on Kadokawa's Comic Alive+ website, and Kadokawa published the manga's fifth volume in November 2024.

The novels have an upcoming television anime that will will premiere in 2026.
