The staff for both the Japanese and global versions of the Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King (Black Clover Mobile: Mahōtei e no Michi The Opening of Fate) smartphone game announced on Friday that the game will end service. The global version of the game will end service on August 21 at 3:00 a.m. EDT, and the Japanese version will end service on August 20 at 10:00 a.m. JST.

The game's final update will release on June 26, and will include content inspired by the Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King film, a special event, and two Mages.

The App Store describes the game:

Unleash your inner magic in an immersive magic adventure RPG and rise to become the Wizard King!

A world on the brink of being destroyed by a demon was saved by a mage that would come to be known as the "Wizard King". Years later, this magical world is once again shrouded in the darkness of crisis. Asta, a boy born without magic, sets his sights on becoming the "Wizard King", seeking to prove his abilities and fulfill a long-lasting promise to his friends.

The game was originally scheduled for worldwide release in 2022, but was delayed to the first half of 2023, and then delayed again. The game launched in Japan on May 25, 2023, and launched globally on November 30, 2023.

The game features the original Japanese and English casts, with subtitles available in English, Mexican Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, French, Traditional Chinese, Thai, and Indonesian.
