Studio Trigger Reveals The Lenticulars Web Anime Shorts

Anime studio Trigger revealed its web anime The Lenticulars on Friday. The first episode "Work Gloves are Gloves" is streaming now. New episodes will stream every Friday at 8:00 p.m. JST (6:00 a.m. EST starting next week). The below video features English subtitles that can be toggled on.
The theme song "The Lenticulars" features lyrics and composition by Kōsuke Hayashi, and the song is by Scenarioart. Akira Amemiya is the director, and is also writing and overseeing the series scripts. He is also the character designer, storyboarder, episode director, animator, and colorist. Rikiya Okada of 24chocolate is composing the music.
Cast members include Manato Ōkawara as Rakkun, Uta Aihara as Sawaki-san, Yū Nishizawa as Miike, and Keigo Moriura as Dony.
Trigger had teased the anime last week.
Amemiya is a former GAINAX animator who worked on many Hiroyuki Imaishi titles such as Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. After joining Trigger, Amemiya made his directorial debut with Inferno Cop and co-directed Kill la Kill. Amemiya also directed Ninja Slayer From Animation, and he co-directed Trigger's fifth anniversary project Space Patrol Luluco. In addition to the Gridman Universe franchise, he directed Trigger's "Transformers 40th Anniversary Special Movie."
