Kairi Shimotsuki's Arthur Bright Manga Moves Online

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

This year's June issue of Tokuma Shoten's Comic Zenon magazine announced on Saturday that Kairi Shimotsuki's Arthur Bright manga will move from Comic Zenon to several online sites. The manga's 10th chapter will premiere first on "pixiv Comic" on April 21, before premiering on Comic Zenon's sister website Comic Zenyon on April 22 with the 10th chapter. New chapters will debut on the second Sunday of each month.

Shimotsuki launched the manga in Comic Zenon in May. Tokuma Shoten published the manga's first volume on November 20, and will publish the second volume on April 20. The manga's story follows Kimura Shigenari, a real-life samurai who served Toyotomi Hideyori. Kimura fights in the Siege of Osaka in 1615, but is hit with a mysterious light. He wakes up in a land ruled by England's legendary King Arthur.

Shimotsuki most recently serialized the one-volume Brave10 Tawamure spinoff series from June 2016 to January 2017. She launched Brave10 S, the continuation of her original Brave10 manga, in the first issue of Monthly Comic Gene in 2011, and ended the series in March 2016.

The original Brave10 manga inspired a television anime in 2012, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. NIS America released a Blu-ray Disc box of Brave10 in 2013.
