Madhouse was so impressed with Mind Game that they helped promote it, even though they had nothing to do with the film
Eirin (the Japanese film board) presented Mind Game with a 'General Audiences' rating, despite its sex and violence, because they felt it was a movie that deserved to be seen by as many people as possible.
The faces shown throughout the show, belong to the actual cast, all of them being very well known tv personalities.
The “Lucky Horros Show” poster seen at one scene is a parody of the Rocky Horror Picture Show movie.
The movie's main character Nishi is based on Robin Nishi, the man who wrote the underground cult comic on which Mind Game was based. Some elements of the story are said to be autobiographical.

Wasn’t released in the US until 14 years after its release in Japan.
