Spain's Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival revealed its slate of animated films for this year's event on Wednesday, which includes ChaO, Angel's Egg, All You Need Is Kill, Nightmare Bugs, and Tamala 2030: A Punk Cat in Dark.

The festival will take place from October 9-October 19 in Sitges, Spain. The event will also screen the live-action film of Kotake Create's infinite-loop horror game The Exit 8 (8-ban Deguchi).

Yūta Murano's Seven Days War anime film won the award for Best Animated Feature Film at the 53rd annual Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival in 2020. Hello World and Lupin III THE FIRST were among the other nominees in the category.

ChaO competed at The Ottawa International Animation Festival on July 3.

The film premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, which ran in France from June 8 to June 14, and also won the Jury Prize. The JAPAN CUTS: Festival of New Japanese Film screened the film on its opening night at New York on July 10. The film was then screened at the 29th annual Fantasia International Film Festival, which ran from July 16 through August 3 in Montreal.

The film will open in Japanese theaters on Friday.
