Gundam AGE's 2nd-Generation Transformation Revealed

The January issue of Shogakukan's Monthly CoroCoro Comic magazine is confirming on Thursday that AGE-2, the second generation mobile suit in the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE television anime series, can transfom into flight mode. Bandai and the official Twitter account for the anime had already revealed the mobile suit mode of the unit.
Asemu Asuno, the son of the first generation's main pilot Flit Asuno, pilots the AGE-2. Gundam AGE follows the precedent set by Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam (1985-1986), the first sequel to the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. In Zeta Gundam, the title mobile suit advances upon the original Gundam unit by offering an alternate Waverider mode for atmospheric reentry and flight. However, AGE-2 also splits into separate components, similar to the title mobile suit in Mobile Suit V Gundam (1993-1994).
