Zelda's Link Makes Google Maps Cameo — But Only for 24 Hours

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The Google Maps app is replacing its yellow pegman with an intrepid adventurer for one day only. On March 5, the yellow locator icon will be replaced with The Legend of Zelda's Link. The change marks the release of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for Wii U.

The game features enhanced visuals and shipped in North America and Europe on March 4, Australia on March 5, and will ship in Japan on March 10. Nintendo released a Wolf Link amiibo figure that will bundle with the game. Some of the save data from the amiibo will be compatible with Nintendo's upcoming 2016 Zelda game for Wii U.
