3rd Voice Actor Ramen Campaign Unveils New Recipes

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Maruchan announced its third Voice Recipe campaign and app on Tuesday. Voice Recipe 3 introduces new recipes and characters. Members of the campaign's male idol group Donpuri4 and "fresh ramen girls unit" Okamochi Sisters teach ramen connoisseurs how to make unique dishes.

The members of DonPuri4 are returning character Hikaru Higashimizu (voiced by Daisuke Ono), Bonito Misaki (Tetsuya Kakihara), Dōmen Rikiya (Shunsuke Takeuchi), and Hajime Kuromine (Natsuki Hanae). The members of Okamochi Sisters are Yukiri Okamochi (Ayane Sakura) and Renge Okamochi (Miyuki Sawashiro). All of the performers feature narutomaki cured fish cakes, a common ramen topping, on their outfits.

The idols work for the entertainment office Naruto Pro. The ramen idols, or "radols," all love fresh ramen and want to continue their quest to pursue the possibilities of fresh ramen. Their goal is to make people around the world love fresh ramen, and they work toward their big dream day and night. People who participate in the campaign become the office manager and cook ramen with the idols.

Select Maruchan products feature a special code on the back of their packaging. People who purchase the items can enter the codes online on their computer or in the Voice Recipe 3 smartphone app. The campaign's characters then guide users through their delicious ramen recipes. The new recipes include:

  • Pork Shogayaki Ramen (Hikaru)
  • Full-of-Vegetables Seafood Tsukemen (Bonito)
  • Basil-Scented Margherita Ramen (Dōmen)
  • Camembert Pouch Thick Ramen (Hajime)
  • Jjigae-Style Miso Ramen (Yukiri and Renge)
  • Karaage Ramen (Yukiri and Renge)
  • Grilled Chicken and Assorted Vegetables Garlic Butter Miso Ramen (Hikaru and Dōmen)
  • Charred Onion-Scented Soy Sauce Ramen (Hajime and Bonito)

The campaign is also offering a lottery for special QUO cards and gourmet catalogs. People who participate in a Voice Recipe Twitter campaign have a chance to receive a signed script.

Voice Recipe debuted in November 2014 and returned last fall, just in time for the chilly season to eat ramen in.
