The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls Launches Snickers Twitter Reply Campaign

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls is holding a Snickers Twitter reply campaign from April 1 to June 30. The campaign's official website began streaming a promotional video on Wednesday.

The campaign is releasing Snickers candy bars with five types of special packages. The packages suggest occasions when it might be a good time to eat a Snickers, such as when someone is too sleepy or behaving like too much of a fool.

To participate in the campaign, people have to buy a campaign Snickers or regular Snickers and post a photo on Twitter. The front of the candy bar must be visible in the photo, and Twitter users must use the campaign hashtag with the photographs. Tweets must be sent between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. from participants' personal Twitter accounts.

Participants will then be able to receive personal replies from the The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls idols. All 183 idols will send replies with images, but a total of eight idols will also send voiced video replies. The campaign will be divided into four periods with different idols giving replies during each period. Nono Morikubo, Uzuki Shimamura, and Mio Honda will be the first trio to offer video replies.

Fans who want to participate in the campaign cannot choose which idol to receive a reply from. The reply will come from an idol that suits the photo and tweet. As a general rule, each photo contribution will receive only one idol reply.

Snickers Japan's promotional campaigns have also featured Sadako from The Ring franchise and Godzilla.
