Delicious in Dungeon Manga Animated PV Cooks Up Mushroom Men

Scrounging up tasty cuisine in the darkest depths of a dungeon is tough going for adventurers. Ryōko Kui's Delicious in Dungeon manga follows the knight Laios in a month-long race against the clock to confront the dragon that ate his sister, and that means cooking up what he can find in its lair.
The manga's fifth volume was released on August 10. The staff decided to celebrate by creating a stop-motion animated promotional video showing an overhead view of how an adventurer can create a tasty stir-fry using a mushroom monster. Even though its animated, watching the creature squirm on the chopping board is still a little unsettling. The monster is more Fantasia-style mushroom monster than Toad, but you can tell it still isn't enthusiastic about its fate.
The October issue of Kikan S magazine was released on Friday and includes details on the promotional video's creation.
Yen Press is releasing the manga in English and the second volume hit store shelves in North America on August 22. The series was nominated in this year's Manga Taisho Awards, ultimately ranking third.
