One Punch Man Voice Actors Get Quizzed On Series Trivia

posted on by Kim Morrissy

One Punch Man voice actors Makoto Furukawa (who plays Saitama), Kaito Ishikawa (Genos), Hiroki Yasumoto (King) and Toshiki Masuda (Charanko) appeared as guests to the “pre-broadcast special stage” for One Punch Man season 2 at AnimeJapan 2019. To prepare themselves for the upcoming anime, which premiered this week, the voice actors participated in a quiz game about trivia from the first season.

The first question was “In order to become a hero, how many kilometers did Saitama run every day for training?” Saitama performs 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, and 100 squats. Furukawa correctly answered that he runs 10 km.

The second question was “Who made the prediction that the earth is in trouble?” Ishikawa and Masuda were only able to identify that it was a wrinkled old lady, but only Furukawa could answer correctly. It turns out that her name was Shibabawa.

The third and final question was “Top three ranked warriors under Boros are Melgarzard, Geriganshup, and...?” Boros is the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves, a group of alien invaders. Furukawa correctly answered the question with Groribas, who is a large green alien with many sharp teeth.

In the end, Furukawa was the winner of the trivia game. Later in the stage event, JAM Project came onstage to sing the OP theme of the second season "Seijaku no Apostle", while Furukawa performed the ED theme “Chizu ga Nakutemo Modorukara”. All the guests stated that they would like the audience to look forward to the second season.
