The Mobile Suit Gundam Seed HD Remaster will get an art book compiling the new cuts drawn specifically for the remaster. The "Phase One" art book is slated to go on sale in late October, and will cover material up to Kira and Athrun's fight in episode 30. The book's cover is drawn by Mobile Suit Gundam Seed character designer Hisashi Hirai.
The book will cost 2,700 yen (US$25), and is available for pre-order from MOVIC and the Bandai Premium Store until September 18. Both stores offer an A4-sized reproduced key animation frame as an exclusive store bonus; MOVIC offers the cover illustration, while the Bandai Premium Store offers an image of a Mobile Suit in action.
Bandai Channel began streaming a 48-episode remastered version of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed in 2011 and followed it up with a remastered version of the sequel Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny in 2013. Both remastered series received Blu-ray Disc releases in Japan. Mobile Suit Gundam Seed originally debuted in 2002.
